This week I wanted to show you what Little Pumpkin Doodle’s Nanna sent her from a resale store in Vermont. As soon as we arrived home after daycare Little Pumpkin Doodle spotted the package. Any package left on the door step in LPD’s world belongs to her.

I hope you’re ready for a nice weekend. What are we doing this weekend? Not much, hopefully we’ll go on “Jungle Ride!” A jungle ride is what my dad called it when he put us kids in the car when he wanted to explore a nearby city. Friday sure came quick this week! Here’s my latest Fashion “Friendly” Friday find.
The 100% cotton dress is a Goodwill find I got for $3 bucks. The dress just needed a little TLC and after $4.00 at the seamstress it was as good as new. Final cost $7. The cardigan is an ancient Old Navy sweater (I can’t recall what I paid for it). And the shoes are from Seychelles (love their shoes). As I go through this adventure learning to raise my daughter organically, I’ve realized that part of this journey is learning to Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse. Before Little Pumpkin Doodle was born I shopped at resale and retail stores for her, and have recently applied the rule to myself. I’m tall by today’s standards, almost 5 ft 9” and finding maternity clothing was a challenge. I didn’t really start showing until I was almost 6 months along, so I was able to wear a lot of my regular clothing. O.K., I know what you’re thinking; she’s one of those skinny chicks! I wish; actually, I was sick throughout my entire pregnancy and didn’t exactly start the pregnancy as a size zero. Let me assure you, not even on my best day! [Read more...]
