Even Little Pumpkin Doodle knows that when she plays at daycare to ask for sunscreen before she heads outside. With summer around the corner, it’s the time to purchase new sunblock.

Warning! Don’t give your teething baby Benzocaine

If so,  hold off on the over-the-counter products such as Anbesol and Baby Orajel, which contain benzocaine. Did you know that children under two and some adults are susceptible to a rare but serious–and sometimes fatal–condition called methemoglobinemia which greatly reduces the amount of oxygen carried through the bloodstream.
