Fashion “Friendly” Friday

Fashion “Friendly” Friday is where I show you how I’m turning my closet & Little Pumpkin Doodle’s into an environmentally friendly wardrobe by learning to Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse. Last week I went to my new favorite children’s resale store, Sugar Plum Kids. For those of you who are reading this blog for awhile you know that Little Pumpkin Doodle names all her dresses and since she has outworn “Laura Ashley” it was time to get a new dress. I love this store! The place is clean, it doesnt’ have the stinky resale smell and the staff is great. I happen to have a credit from the time LPD’s nanna was here for visiting for $13.00 (I sold some of LPD’s clothing to the store), so I went to work. Since LPD was with me she occupied herself by playing with toys while I browsed. It didn’t take long for me to find two adorable dresses.

We have a busy weekend planned with my father’s birthday landing on St. Patrick’s Day.

With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, which happens to fall on my Dad’s birthday, I thought it would be appropriate to get an outfit together. Not only am I trying to avoid getting pinched, but it also gives me an excuse to wear one of my favorite colors, green. [Read more...]

Fashion “Friendly” Fridays

As I go through this adventure learning to raise my daughter organically, I’ve realized that part of this journey is learning to Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse. Before Little Pumpkin Doodle was born I shopped at resale and retail stores for her, and have recently applied the rule to myself. I have plenty of clothing in my closet and since I consider myself to be somewhat fashion conscious, I’ve decided to show you how I will turn my closet into an environmentally friendly wardrobe.
