Easy homemade organic ice cream!

EasyHomemade organics ice creamWith summer in full swing Little Pumpkin Doodle & I made easy homemade organic ice cream! We’ve also been making meals that require little to no heat and reduced using the air conditioner by staying cool with our Frogg Toggs chilly pads towels.

I don’t know about you, but after dinner I like dessert, so when I found this recipe from SparkPeople I had to try it. We have a fancy ice cream maker so Little Pumpkin Doodle thought it was strange when I told her  we were making ice cream in a blender.  I made some changes to the recipe, but it’s essentially the same and tastes more like soft serve ice cream.

Mommy’s Organics Authentic Spanish Gazpacho

Mommys Organics Summer SoupMany years ago I had the opportunity to spend time in the Canary Islands on the island of Las Palmas. I learned how to make Gazpacho (it’s a chilled soup). I’ve renamed it Mommy’s Organics Authentic Spanish Gazpacho.  While visiting I   was fortunate to learn to cook some authentic Spanish cuisine, and it’s also where I had my first Mojito.

Jarringly Simple

If I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, I love Pinterest. What is it? It’s simply an online pinboard. I came across a board dedicated to mason jars, but the pin that hit home were the mason jar meals. I thought, what a clever way to store meals and not have to search for the top to the plastic container. More importantly, the jars make healthy food look more appetizing. [Read more…]
